ACEC of Wyoming celebrated its 50th anniversary on March 12, 2005. The organization was founded in 1955 and named the Wyoming Association of Private Practicing Engineers and Surveyors. The group became affiliated with what is now the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) in Washington D.C. in May, 1961. In 1964, the organization changed its name to the Wyoming Association of Consulting Engineers and Surveyors (WACES). In 2001, ACEC started a campaign requesting all member organizations adopt their name to demonstrate its national presence. In 2002, WACES became the American Council of Engineering Companies of Wyoming (ACEC of Wyoming), a coalition of approximately 65 engineering and surveying firms in Wyoming. The following are the past Presidents of the organization.
